Website-Watcher
If you work with the internet then this is one of the most powerful time saving applications I have ever had the honour to work with and review.
As a publisher of 2 daily websites, a blog and newsletter, I need information fast and efficient. Yes the internet and its sources of information are the core of the news I gather and edit. The problem starts with the gathering. It all began years ago when I started to collect my favourites and march through them each day to see what was newsworthy. Frankly there was plenty but the time required was phenomenal. It only allowed me to publish a mere fraction of what I do today. Frankly in those days I was able to produce only one website and that was The London Morning Paper.
I guess you call me a power user of the internet. This public source provides millions of opportunities for those that have the patience to sort through a sea of information. Yes Google has been helpful and often provides interesting tools. But none match for the time and money saving application called WebSite-Watcher.
In a practical sense, once I found the websites that I wanted to source the real work began. I had to wade through them each day and see if there was anything new. Just the surfing cost hours, the reading that followed became a chore. All that has changed by using WebSite Watcher, it allows me to enter the URL of my favourites and time them to be watched automatically each day. It even permits me to have emails sent to me when anything has changed on the site in question. This was data mining heaven, I am now able to watch scores more, presently 13553 URLs are daily scanned for titbits news. Try doing that manually, it doesn’t even come into question. Yet I do this in minutes every morning while I am brewing my coffee!! Not only does this indicate those sources that have new entries, it highlights these entries so I can home in on the change immediately, finally it also allows me to archive the results for future reference if need be.
There’s more. Not only can I track a specific page, I can track a whole website if that is required. All that with the combined power to search for specific words too. Now that is research power. There is even more, but you ought to now go to WebSite Watcher’s website and read about it.
Who would use this? Practically anybody who uses the internet on a daily basis.
Journalists like me researching.
Students studying special subjects
Doctors wishing to keep up with developments
Lawyers tracking news on cases
Salesmen tracking the websites of customers and competition
Buyers of real estate watching for offers in areas they wish to move to
Sellers watching the price of certain market goods even real estate
Collectors watching favourite websites for new offers
Travellers looking for new ideas
Again, the uses are endless. This software has become a cornerstone in my business. I could say this is one of the applications that has allowed me to be aggressively productive and competitive. You can try it for free, but you will not want to surf the internet without it anymore.
