Writing From Life
By: Lynne Hackles
Publisher: www.howtobooks.co.uk
184 pages.
As a writer since 1987 I was curious was to how someone else tackled the issue. For me starting to write was a way to express my thoughts about an industry that was terribly complex, this was macro economics and politics. Every morning I started a new sheet and reviewed yesterday’s events along with prognostics for the future. Once started I never stopped. Today I still report in that way but using the modern mediums of e-mail and websites and more recently blogs. It was an excerise in survival.
Writing From Life picks up where I left off; it directs you to consider your own life and experiences with recommendations as to what you could write about them along with hints on marketing of the end product. Writing is about imagination and is all in your mind before we see it printed on the screen or paper. The book is not specifically about writing a book, although it has the basics for that too.
May I suggest you take it with you when you travel to work because while waiting for appointments or the doctor you will begin thinking and often times those are the moments to begin a new journey. The book will prod you onward. Success is moving onward sentence by sentence.
Highly recommended.
